Vera has worked at UNU-FLORES since 2020. Previously, she was the Science Knowledge Coordinator, supporting the operational management of the Institute’s research. In 2025, she took up her current position as a Research Associate.
Vera is working on the project “Resource Nexus method development for circular economic-ecological sustainability assessment of the ZPP-process chain”, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
Before joining UNU-FLORES, Vera was a research associate at TU Freiberg, where she supported the cross-border Saxony-Czech Republic project Georisks. She has also worked as a project manager at Strassenbahnfreunde Chemnitz e.V. and, prior to this, as an auditor at the Sächsische Aufbaubank – Förderbank (Development Bank of Saxony). In these roles, she gained experience in developing project proposals and cross-border projects between Saxony and the Czech Republic that were funded by European Union programmes.
She also has many years of experience in sustainability and environmental management research, having worked as a research assistant at TU Dresden.
Vera is especially interested in advancing Life Cycle Assessment while effectively integrating stakeholders.
