Prashant Kumar is an expert in sustainable economic development and climate action. He is currently conducting research on green industrial transformation as part of the NEXtra project, in collaboration with Technische Universität Dresden and UNU-FLORES.
His current work focuses on developing behavioral economics-based modeling to analyze investment dynamics in Eco-Industrial Park (EIP) development. Through this research, he advances the EIP framework by integrating a Resource Nexus approach, driving sustainable industrial transition, and fostering long-term environmental and economic resilience.
He possesses extensive experience in Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) development, program management, sustainable entrepreneurial projects, institutional capacity building, and resource management. He is highly adept at grassroots community development, capacity enhancement, and socio-economic project implementation, reinforced by deep expertise in social research and policy-based consultancy. His proficiency extends to navigating complex government policies, regulatory frameworks, technological advancements, and development programs. With a broad geographical footprint across multiple states in India and Germany, he has made significant contributions to esteemed organizations such as GIZ, and United Nations.
