Karim Pyarali is a Doctoral Researcher at UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden.
His work primarily focuses on understanding the impact of climate change on environmental indicators across different river basins, assessing the status quo of ecosystem services, estimating the vulnerability of these services to climate change scenarios, and developing resilience through land management.
Karim started his career as a Field Supervisor at WWF-Pakistan, where he managed a survey on the feasibility of solar power in Sindh (Pakistan), conducted a threat analysis for Indus river dolphins, and prepared a restoration plan for the Manchar lake. After moving to Munich, Karim worked as a student research assistant at TU Munich, where he prepared an R script for the generation of synthetic flow using the ARIMA model. Most recently, he worked at UNU-FLORES as a research assistant aiming to evaluate ecosystem services across Germany.
