Hela Hammami graduated in rural engineering, water management and forestry, and thus developed a strong foundation in understanding the environmental problems related to flood protection, water management, land conservation and forest management.
Her particular interest in environmental management originates from her internship in the National Center of Mapping and Remote Sensing of Tunisia. She focused on the environmental impacts of unconscious urban expansion after the Tunisian revolution. She previously worked as a hydraulic engineer on a water work project. The main objective of her research is to study the efficiency of hydrological models by improving data quality.
