Juliane Dziumla has been a member of UNU-FLORES since 2018 and is the co-founder of the Green Committee at the Institute. As the Sustainability Coordinator, she is responsible for the integration of sustainability-focused aspects into research projects, and the Institute’s involvement in activities relevant to sustainability. These activities include the UNU-wide sustainability cooperation and the ‘Greening the Blue’ campaign. She is also the Editorial Coordinator for the Springer Journal Sustainability Management Forum and manages PRISMA – Center for Sustainability Assessment and Policy based at Technische Universität Dresden.
Juliane has always been passionate about environmental conservation, sustainability, and working towards a greener future. Prior to joining UNU-FLORES, she worked in the PR and Business Development department of the recycling company, TerraCycle, in London, UK, where she worked on a wide range of business proposals for potential new recycling products, and later as a marketing assistant for HOGA Schulen. Along with promoting the Sustainability Strategy of UNU-FLORES, Juliane looks forward to cooperating with a wide range of actors in science, policy, and civil society, to “walk the talk” together on the path to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
