The project aimed to enhance access to lifelong learning opportunities for people with disabilities, aligning with the UN's 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Focused on leveraging digital technology, particularly Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), the objectives included supporting the implementation and monitoring of inclusive education policies, such as the UNESCO Model Policy. Through research, stakeholder engagement, and courseware development, the project seeks to empower Uganda in effectively implementing and evaluating policies on accessible digital technologies in education, thereby fostering greater social inclusion and participation.

Activities

  • Collect requirements for the digital platform through literature review and consultations with stakeholders.

  • Based on the findings, analyse the UNESCO Model Policy on Inclusive ICTs in Education for Persons with Disabilities, and produce a report.    

Deliverable

D1. Final Report defining requirements for a web-based tool to support policy implementation on ICT enabled inclusive education in Uganda.
