Usman is a Government Fellow at UNU-EGOV. He is also a Nigerian Public Official working for the Center for Management Development (CMD), a think-tank under the Budget and Planning Ministry and Office of the Vice President. Prior to the UNU appointment, Usman has worked with the Korea Development Strategy (KDS), the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Ministry of Communications Technology in Nigeria on the Project for Capacity Building of e-Government in Nigeria by developing curriculum and carrying out training at all levels of government. He has over one decade of experience in consulting both within the public and private sectors in diverse sectors ranging from Oil and Gas, Agriculture, Power, and Human Resource Development particularly in training and development projects. He holds an MSc in e-Government from Kookmin University Seoul, Republic of Korea, a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of Liverpool, a Certificate on Energy Technology and Policy from the University of Austin Texas, a e-Health Certificate from Karolinska Institute, and he also holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria.
