Flávia Barbosa is currently the Senior Communications Assistant of UNU-EGOV. She joined the institution in August 2023.
In this role, she oversees the coordination of both the web and social media presence of the Operating Unit and the content creation for these platforms.
Flávia's tasks encompass editing, proofreading, and assisting with compiling briefings, reports, academic papers, and other documents.
She also acts as the focal point between the Office of Communications in Tokyo and UNU-EGOV. Managing Internal Communication is among her critical assignments as a Communications Assistant.
Before joining UNU-EGOV, Flávia worked for the Communication Office of Braga’s Archdiocese. For two years, she was also the Director of a lifestyle magazine.
Flávia holds two Bachelor's degrees: one in Portuguese Studies – Arts and Humanities from the University of Minho (Portugal, 2008) and another in Communication Sciences from the Catholic University (Portugal, 2014). She has also earned a Master’s degree in Digital Communication from the same University (2023) and is currently a PhD Student of Communication and Activisms at Lusófona University (Porto).
She is also the author of a published children’s book, several published short stories, and the UNU-EGOV institutional children’s book.
