Kayode Taiwo is a Visiting Fellow at UNU-EGOV. He is also currently a Lecturer at the Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), Nigeria from where he joined the PhD Economics program of the University of Minho in Portugal. Kayode has had a stint in the private sector before joining the academic profession to shape future and impact development. He is a member of a few numbers of professional networks in economics. Kayode has been invited and won some awards to attend some capacity development programs in the field of economics. His research interests include public/political economics, behavioural development economics, education and training, regulation, and program evaluation. He has some ongoing projects which include the political economy of intergovernmental transfers in Nigeria, subnational economies' own revenue mobilisation, decentralisation and service delivery with a specific focus on water and sanitation, and e-governance and budget transparency.
