Opening Ceremony: Poster Exhibition Commemorating the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings

UNU will join partners for the opening ceremony of the Virtual Poster Exhibition commemorating 77 years since the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.

On 5 September 2022 (16:00 UTC+9), UNU will join with partners for the opening ceremony of the Virtual Poster Exhibition commemorating 77 years since the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings under the theme, "The world should know the actual impacts of use of nuclear weapons".

Held annually since 2015, the poster exhibition is coordinated by the Organising Committee for the Atomic Bomb Exhibitions in Nairobi — a committee initiated in 2015 by a group of United Nations staff members, UN specialized agencies, and international organisations.

The 2022 poster exhibition will be virtual due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns.

  • Introduction of the Virtual Poster Exhibition 2022 (Ms. Shiho Jinno, UN-Habitat)
