Markus Kukko is a Research Assistant at UNU-WIDER, where he contributes to the Tax Research for Development project. His research interests include development economics, international trade, and urban economics.
Markus is currently pursuing a master’s degree in economics at Aalto University. Prior to joining UNU-WIDER, he worked as a Junior Advisor at Business Finland in Brazil and completed an internship at the Embassy of Finland in Brazil. He also served as a Conscript Research Assistant at the Finnish National Defense University during his military service.
