Dr. Binate Fofana Namizata is the Coordinator of UNU-INRA’s operating unit in Côte D’Ivoire.
She is Ivorian, a lecturer, assistant professor at the Economics and Management Sciences Training and Research Unit (UFRSEG) of the Félix Houphouët Boigny University (FHB) of Abidjan, and researcher responsible for Gender and Development Unit of the Ivorian Center for Economic and Social Research (CIRES).
She holds a Doctorate in Rural Economics from CIRES/University of Cocody and a PhD in Economics from Wageningen University in The Netherlands.
Dr. BINATÉ is also the Coordinator of the Operating Unit of the Institute for Natural Resources of the United Nations University (UNU-INRA), in Cote D’Ivoire.
From August 2017 to February 2020, she was General Director of Women, Child Protection and Family at the Ministry of Women, Child Protection and Solidarity.
Since March 2022, she is a co-researcher at the Francophone Observatory for Gender-Inclusive Development (OFDIG) at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) in Canada;
She is Technical Advisor to the Minister of Women, Family and Children of Ivory Coast
