Implementation Research Short-Course for Health Programme Implementers

The course equips health program implementers with practical skills in IR, focusing on intervention delivery, scale-up, and outcomes.

This short-course on IR for health programmes implementers offers a guide to the critical role of health workers and programme managers in conducting IR aimed at the effective delivery and scale-up of interventions in clinical and public health settings with a focus on the Western Pacific Region.  

The course contains five modules, beginning with an introduction to the core competencies required for health programme implementers and how to specify problems in delivery of evidence-based interventions. Subsequent chapters focus on designing robust implementation strategies and assessing the outcomes of implementing interventions through a practical, real-world example of a dengue control intervention in Malaysia.  

Participants will engage in a mix of video-based lectures and discussion activities, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to address and overcome common challenges in the implementation process.
