Professor Roderick J. Lawrence is a Visiting Professor at UNU-IIGH. He is currently Head of the Global Environmental Policy Programme (GEPP) at the University of Geneva and Emeritus Professor at the School of Social Sciences (G3S). He has been appointed Adjunct Professor at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI) at the Universititi Kebangsaan Malaysia since 2011. He graduated from the University of Adelaide (Australia) with First Class Honours. He has a Master’s Degree from the University of Cambridge (England) and a Doctorate of Science from the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale, Lausanne (Switzerland). In January 1997 he was nominated to the New York Academy of Science and in 1999 he was nominated Professor in the Faculty of Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Geneva. He is the founding Director of the Certificate of Advanced Studies in Sustainable Development and Agenda 21, a position he has held from 2003 to 2016. His biography has been included in Marquis Who’s Who in the World and Who’s Who in Science and Engineering.
