Dr. Fiona Williamson is a historian working within the fields of British and South-East Asian history, most recently the history of the environment and climate. Since 2011, she has been working with the International Atmospheric Circulation Reconstructions over the Earth initiative, sourcing and researching documentary evidence relating to the historic climate of South-East Asia. She is currently based at the National University of Malaysia and holds fellowships at the School of History and the Climatic Research Unit, University of East Anglia, UK. Dr. Williamson is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of History, Politics, and Strategy, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Dr. Williamson holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours, a Master’s in Education, and a PhD from the University of East Anglia, UK.
