What's it about?
The webinar ‘What does the digital gender gap mean for healthcare?’ is part of the Gender and Digital Health Webinar Series. It explores the digital gender gap and its implications for digital health solution design by adressing:
- Global trends in phone access among women, and linkages with health outcomes.
- Digital access and use among low literate women in rural India.
- The digital gender gap in social media access and use and what the implications for health services.
Who is part of it?
The Gender and Digital Health Webinar Series is organised by a consortium between UNU IIGH, The University of Cape Town and BBC Media Action. This online session had the participation of Sara Chamberlain, Director of Digital from BBC Media Action; Amnesty LeFevre, Associate Professor from the University of Cape Town; Diwakar Mohan, Assistant Scientist from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and Kerry Scott, Research Associate from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as speakers. The session also had the participation of guest discussant Alex Tyers from Panoply Digital.
