Yohannes H. Subagadis is Research Assistant in the Capacity Development and Governance Unit at UNU-FLORES. Prior to joining UNU-FLORES, Yohannes worked as a researcher and lecturer at Mekelle University, Ethiopia. Later he joined Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, where he worked as a member of scientific staff within the framework of the International Water Research Alliance Saxony (IWAS) project. From November 2015 he worked as a programme specialist for UNESCO Juba office in South Sudan where he was responsible for leading the natural science section of the office which focuses mainly on climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction activities. Yohannes received his PhD in Hydrology at Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, and his Bachelor and Master of Science in Hydraulic Engineering at Arba-Minch University and Civil Engineering at Addis Ababa University, respectively.
