Trans-Plast Team Member 

PhD in International Environmental Law at Maastricht University and PhD and Master’s in Human Rights at FDV. Postgraduate studies in Economics and Environment at the Federal University of Parana. Bachelors in law at FDV and in Physics at the Federal University of Espirito Santo.


Luisa is course director at the environmental law portfolio at the Academy of European Law – ERA. Also a consultant and a member of different expert groups advising the negotiators of the upcoming UN plastic treaty. Additionally, she is a consultant and external researcher at UNU FLORES.


Previously, she was the researcher on plastics at the mandate of the UN Special Rapporteur in Toxics and Human Rights, and research Associate at the Global Governance Centre of the Graduate Institute Geneva. Before, she was guest researcher at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg; lecturer, coordinator of extension activities, head of International Relations Office at FDV; and environmental legal coordinator at ES Government.
