Janis Kreiselmeier is a PhD Researcher in the Soil and Land-Use Management Unit at UNU-FLORES. Currently he is working in the Soil Pore Dynamics Research Project in cooperation with TU Dresden and BOKU Vienna. To better understand and quantify management induced changes in soil hydraulic properties on different temporal scales he is conducting periodic field and laboratory measurements at selected agricultural and forestal sites in Eastern Germany. The results of this research later are intended to serve as a basis for implementation into hydrological models to improve the planning of adaption strategies for soil and water conservation. He holds a MSc in Earth Science with a major in Hydrology/Hydrogeology from Uppsala University (Sweden) and a BSc in Environmental Natural Sciences from University of Freiburg (Germany).
