Waseem Ashraf is part of the Joint PhD Programme of UNU-FLORES and TU Dresden.
He is a member of the GRK 2250 Research Training Group and his project is focused on the Analysis and Evaluation of the Sustainability Nexus of Reinforcement Measures with New Composite Materials. His work will access the sustainability and environmental footprint of different new composite materials. Before joining UNU-FLORES, Waseem has worked in the development and manufacturing sectors. He has worked on development of environmental management systems, conducted audits of multiple industries, developed capacity development modules for human resource on best available techniques for environmental management. He also worked on multiple research projects to conduct situation analysis in the domains of circular economy, recycling, and water resource management. As an environmentalist, Waseem is interested in creating a sustainable future and to contribute to the GRK project using the sustainability nexus approach.
