Mr Amit Kumar (Garg) is a visiting scientist within UNU-EHS working on projects related to climate risk finance and insurance solutions for small businesses and vulnerable communities.
Mr Kumar is a development economist with over 14 years of industry and research experience. He focuses on market-based risk transfer solutions for climate vulnerable countries.
In his other professional roles, Mr Kumar advises the United Nations Capital Development Fund in leveraging innovative digital solutions for their climate risk finance work. Besides his research work, Mr Kumar mentors start-ups that are building digital and financial services for economic and social resilience.
