Dresden, Germany – An interactive learning material on the Resource Nexus has been made publicly available by UNU-FLORES, coinciding with the farewell of its Director, Prof. Edeltraud Guenther.
The timing of the release recognises Prof. Guenther’s contribution to advancing the Resource Nexus as a practical and solution-oriented approach. “She championed the Resource Nexus not only as a concept but as a tool for action,” said Prof. Serena Coetzee.
About the Resource Nexus
The Resource Nexus approach promotes coherent decision-making across governments, businesses, and communities to support global sustainable development. It considers resources and their interdependencies from a holistic perspective, highlighting potential synergies and trade-offs. Understanding these interconnections is essential for managing resources effectively and achieving social, economic, and environmental goals.
About the Material
The material introduces these concepts through an interactive format, guiding learners from basic resource understanding to more complex interdependencies. It demonstrates how resource systems influence sustainability outcomes and supports more integrated approaches to decision-making. Divided into three concise sections, the material is designed to be flexible, accessible, and easy to integrate into busy schedules.
