Analysing globalised financial investments and corporatisation of private healthcare in India

Abstract

This analysis of financialisation of healthcare in India seeks to identify key trends and patterns of private investment in corporate hospitals and healthcare provisioning. It also presents examples of some hospital companies to illustrate the changes in the scale and categories of healthcare corporates and discusses the role of Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) in the Indian healthcare sector.
