From 1 July to 28 August 2026, UNU is hosting an exhibition of artwork from the “Sixth Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) National Children’s Poster Contest”, organized by Kodomo University Kunitachi and co-organized by UNU. The exhibition will be open on weekdays from 10:00 to 17:00 at UNU Headquarters in Tokyo.
As the 2030 deadline for achieving the SDGs approaches, inspiration for meaningful SDG action from society is more important than ever. To help raise awareness, thousands of elementary and junior high school children from across Japan and abroad created SDG-themed artwork for the "Sixth SDGs National Children’s Poster Contest" held in 2025.
The contest has been organized annually since 2020 by the non-profit organization Kodomo University Kunitachi and has been supported by UNU since 2024. This exhibition will display some of the 2025 contest's awarded artwork with the hope that children’s creativity and imagination will inspire SDG action.
