Nanami Yamaguchi is a Consultant in the Office of the Rector.
Nanami supports high-level processes and operational functions across the Office of the Rector. Her work focusses on strategic communications, including the development of written analyses and policy inputs, and the facilitation of projects with key UNU partners.
More broadly, she supports the Senior Programme Manager on gender policy and contributions to UN-wide institutional processes, as well as administrative functions within the Office of the Rector. In addition, Nanami conducts policy research for UNU, including for the UNU International Institute of Global Health (UNU-IIGH).
Prior to joining UNU, Nanami was a civil servant in the UK Government, specializing in health policy and financing. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Oxford. Nanami is fluent in both English and Japanese.
