Prof. Louise Fawcett is Professor of International Relations and Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Politics and International Relations, University of Oxford. 

She is Co-Director of the Oxford Martin School programme, Changing Global Order, and a Fellow of St. Catherine’s College, Oxford.

Professor Fawcett has published widely in the areas of comparative regionalism and the international relations of the Global South, with particular reference to the Middle East. Her edited volume, entitled "International Relations of the Middle East" is now in its 6th edition.

Prof. Fawcett is on the editorial board of the journal International Affairs. Until last year, she was member and chair of the UNU-CRIS International Advisory Board. She also chairs the International Advisory Board at the German Institute of Global and Area Studies. In 2020, she was elected Associate Member of the Belgian Royal Academy (Académie Royale de Belgique).
