Raimund Bleischwitz is an Adjunct Professor at UNU FLORES.

Raimund Bleischwitz is the Scientific Director of the Leibniz Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) in Bremen. Before this, he was Chair in Sustainable Global Resources at University College London (UCL), and Director of the UCL Bartlett School of Environment, Energy and Resources. He is a member of DEFRA’s expert group on resource productivity and waste targets. He has been a Co-Investigator in two UKRI Centres on the Circular Economy and a Principal Investigator of an international collaborative project on the circular economy in China (SINCERE). He was also the main editor of the Routledge Handbook of the Resource Nexus and the lead author of a Resource Nexus perspective paper in Nature Sustainability. Raimund has published over 300 publications, worked in six countries, and has a background in economics. He wrote his habilitation thesis on "Knowledge-Generating Institutions for Collective Goods".
