Christina is currently leading a book publication project centered around the Climate Vulnerability Monitor (CVM) 3rd edition Report: A Planet on Fire. Commissioned by the Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) and the Vulnerable Twenty Group (V20) and supported by organizations like Climate Analytics, finres and the Lancet Countdown, CVM consolidates the latest scientific research on climate change impacts.

Her project aims to make this knowledge accessible to both the general audience and the academic community. Additionally, Christina is actively involved in the Enhancing Risk Assessments (ERA) for Improved Country Risk Financing Strategies initiative, providing invaluable support to government partners in Egypt and Thailand for two years.

Christina started working full-time as a Consultant at the Munich Climate Insurance Initiative (MCII), hosted at UNU-EHS, in September 2022, working on ASEAN Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance: Phase 2 project, developing the risk profiles and researching the historical and existing disaster risk financing and insurance capacity of seven ASEAN countries, namely the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia.

During the two years of her studies, Christina worked as a student assistant for the Adaptive Social Protection Roadmap project for the Indonesian government, which falls under the “Social Protection Programme” in Indonesia led by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Adaptive social protection focuses on extending social protection programmes, especially for the poor and vulnerable population groups, against risks from extreme weather events, other natural hazards, and adverse impacts from climate change. One of the main results is the Hazards, Exposure, and Vulnerability in Indonesia: A risk assessment across regions and Provinces to inform the development of an Adaptive Social Protection Road Map, which she co-authored.

Christina holds a master’s degree in Natural Resources Management and Development from the TH Cologne – University of Applied Sciences and a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Indonesia. She has more than ten years of experience working in governance, project management, strategic planning, budgeting, communication, monitoring and reporting in a multinational FMCG company with international exposure. Outside of work, she is active in promoting less plastic and less waste lifestyle and the link to climate change, including speaking at STUBE student network seminars in Germany, participating in Indonesian Student Association Germany's workshops and working with a local NGO in Indonesia.
