As the global development community moves towards the final shape for the post-2015 development agenda, which will set the future framework for cooperation in achieving the eventual elimination of global poverty, this project facilitates UNU-WIDER’s response to that agenda as it evolves. The project focuses on national policy frameworks and policy-setting that will determine the implementation of the goals, and the post-2015 development agenda. This includes analysis of how aid donors, both bilateral and multilateral, can best assist the Low-Income Countries (LICs) and Less Developed Countries (LDCs) in achieving structural transformation of their economies, to both accelerate growth, reduce poverty, achieve gender equality and adapt to climate change. The project therefore draws on the research and outputs from across UNU-WIDER’s 2014-18 work programme, and draws out further their implications for development policy and support from the international community to help achieve the post-2015 development agenda.
