The objective of this project is to develop DPPA’s new Strategic Plan and a Results Framework covering a period of three years (2020-2022). The Strategic Plan will define the main areas of work for the Department at Headquarters and in field, consistent with relevant mandate, and regardless of their funding source. As the Peacebuilding Support Office (PBSO) is now integrated in DPPA following the reform, the Strategic Plan will articulate strategic objectives that reflect the strategic, political, operational and peacebuilding responsibilities of the Department.
The Strategic Plan accompanied by a Results Framework will serve the following four purposes:
Help the Department prioritize its work in relation to its long-term goals Achieve alignment of DPPA’s resources around common goals and strategic objectives
Strengthen DPPA’s communication on intended results it is seeking to achieve
Improve DPPA’s accountability framework and enhance the department’s performance management
