The UNU Institute for Integrated Management of Material Fluxes and of Resources (UNU-FLORES) has signed a new cooperative agreement with the Dresden University of Technology, Faculty of Environmental Sciences, and the University of Kassel Center for Environmental Systems Research. The collaboration will promote joint research and capacity building activities, including overlap with UNU’s Nexus Tools Platform — a database comparing existing modelling tools related to the water-soil-waste nexus — and the Nexus Observatory, which translates research to better inform environmental resource management and related policymaking processes.

Initial activities of the new collaboration will include organisation of the 2017 Dresden Nexus Conference and a seminar on wastewater reuse at 2016 World Water Week. For more information visit the UNU-FLORES website.
