On 26 February 2018, the 20th cohort of the UNU Fisheries Training Programme (UNU-FTP) graduated in a ceremony at the Marine and Freshwater Research Institute of Iceland. This year, 21 fellows took part in the Six-months Training Programme. Eight specialised in quality management; seven in stock assessment and fishing-gear technology; and six in sustainable aquaculture.
Altogether, 368 fellows have completed the training programme since it began in 1998.
