The United Nations Climate Change Conference — COP 25 — will take place from 2–13 December in Madrid, Spain. The objectives of this year’s meetings and events centre on efforts to operationalise the Paris Climate Change Agreement — actions rooted in the implementation guidelines agreed on at COP 24 in Poland last year.
UNU’s interdisciplinary focus on the people, communities, and systems most impacted by climate change is helping to ensure proactive solutions and global resilience. At COP 25, the UNU Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), the UNU Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA), and the UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) will showcase some of UNU’s latest climate change work through a series of press briefings, presentations, publication launches, and capacity building sessions.
