The Pan African University Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (PAUWES) will host its Research-2-Practice Forum on 16–18 April 2018 in Tlemcen, Algeria. Designed for scientists and practitioners alike, The forum aims to provide a platform for experts active in applied and practice-oriented research in the areas of renewable energy, water, and climate security.
Results and recommendations from the forum will be integrated into ongoing and future activities at PAUWES. Moreover, they will be further discussed with regional and Pan-African institutions such as the African Union, the African Development Bank, the New Partnership for Africa’s Development, and other regional commissions.
The forum is jointly organised by the Pan African University, the UNU Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS), and the University Abou Bekr Belkaid in Tlemcen. It is supported by the German government, the Center for Development Research at the University of Bonn (ZEF), and the Institute for Technology and Resources Management in the Tropics and Subtropics (ITT).
Proposals must be submitted by 8 January 2018.
