Applications are being accepted until 15 May 2016 for the 6th E-waste Academy – Scientists Edition (EWAS), in Limerick, Ireland from 13–20 August 2016. Applications are invited from PhD students, and postdoctoral and early career researchers currently working on e-waste and related areas.
The intensive eight-day programme includes a mix of student presentations, expert lectures, group work and study tours, giving participants an overview of e-waste issues from an interdisciplinary perspective. Since the first EWAS in 2009, the Academy has become the leading forum available to young scientists involved in e-waste research.
The EWAS network spans nearly 100 EWAS alumni from top universities across 30 countries. The prestigious University of Limerick is hosting EWAS 2016, supported by sponsorships from the European Recycling Platform Ireland, the Irish Department of Environment, the Irish Environment Protection Agency, and Dell.
