Putri Sukmahartati serves as a Research Associate at UNU-FLORES as part of the Nexus Transformations in Coal Regions (NEXtra Core) project, focusing on research in Indonesia. Prior to joining UNU-FLORES, she worked for USAID ICED as a Sustainable Finance Coordinator for renewable energy projects in Indonesia. She is interested in spatial planning, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in her research. In 2018, she received a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. She also had the opportunity to present her thesis research at the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Annual Conference and Exposition (ACE) 2018 in Las Vegas, NV after winning a poster session at the Fall Conference of AWWA Nebraska section in November 2017.
