On 4–6 October, the 15th edition of the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance – ICEGOV 2022 – returns to its roots by being hosted once again in Guimarães, Portugal. This year’s conference also marks the return of ICEGOV to an in-person format.
Jointly organised by the UNU Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) and the University of Minho, the conference will bring together academia, governments, international organisations, civil society, and industry to share the latest insights and experiences in the theory and practice of Digital Governance under the main theme ‘Digital Governance for Social, Economic, and Environmental Prosperity’.
A state-of-the-art and engaging 3-day programme is being developed and will include renowned keynote speakers, international organisations, industry, government, and UN system agencies. Additionally, a post-conference day on 7 October will feature a doctoral colloquium and workshops.
This 15th edition of ICEGOV will contribute to debate, reflection, knowledge generation, and sharing on how digital technologies can be effectively harnessed to foster prosperity and development in alignment with the discussions and actions that have been initiated by the UN Secretary-General and UN Member States.
