This event is will take place in the context of the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP11) in Hyderabad, India.

This forum is being co-organized by the United Nations University Institute of Advanced Studies (IPSI Secretariat) , India Ministry of Environment and Forests, and Japan Ministry of the Environment.

The Third IPSI Global Conference Public Forum: Contribution to Achieving the Aichi Biodiversity Targets builds on discussion at the second public forum of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) held in March 2012.

This third forum will provide an opportunity for more in-depth discussion of key areas of IPSI collaboration. Recognizing the opportunity provided by holding this event back-to-back with CBD COP11 and the close alignment of the partnership’s activities with the CBD, specific attention will be paid to how member activities can help to achieve the Aichi Biodiversity Targets.
