This seminar will discuss the role of traditional agricultural systems from the perspectives of Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) conservation, sustainability studies and the Expo Milano 2015 (to be held on the theme of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”) with the objective to explore possible contributions toward enhancing food security, a central issue in African development.
