On 16 April 2015, the UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) will organize the side event Enhancing Urban Water Environment in Developing Countries in Daegu, Republic of Korea, during the Seventh World Water Forum.
This session will address the current state of the urban water environment, as well as the different challenges and feasible solutions to improving it, particularly in developing Asian cities. Researchers and experts will discuss recent research developments towards enhancing the urban water environment, focusing on human health risks, ecosystem conservation and flood impacts.
