On 18 October 2013, the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health will host the event Violence Against Women: Support for the Victims and Lessons Learned from Japan.
Dr. Syed Embadul Haque, Postdoctoral Fellow at UNU-IIGH, will give an introductory presentation on the global situation on violence against women. Professor Toshiko Kamo, President of the Institute of Women’s Health at Tokyo Women’s Medical University will then present on Lessons Learned from Japan: Support for the victims of violence against women from the perspective of mental health.
This event is free and will be followed by an open discussion.
