On 20 September, Springer Nature and UNU-IAS will co-organise a seminar on “Implementing Solutions for the SDGs: The Role of Sustainability Research”, with support by the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and the University of Tokyo Integrated Research System for Sustainability Science (IR3S).
Based on insights from two of Springer Nature’s premier scientific journals — Nature Sustainability and Sustainability Science — the seminar seeks to highlight how sustainability research is contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Opinion leaders will seek to identify best practices and lessons learned regarding the SDGs. The discussion will enable participants to develop a better understanding of the sustainability research landscape from both global and local perspectives.
The event is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. The seminar will be followed by a networking opportunity.
For more information, or to register to attend (registration deadlin: Wednesday, 12 September), see the event announcement on the UNU-IAS website.
