As part of the 2016 IUCN World Conservation Congress, UNU-IIGH Research Fellow Cristina Romanelli will lead a 2-hour Knowledge Café on Exploring actions for integrated conservation, health, and sustainable development.

The session aims to identify potential pathways for pragmatic, scalable, and interdisciplinary policy solutions fostering biodiversity–health synergies spanning local to global levels that can support the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and the broader 2030 agenda for sustainable development. The session comprises a set of short presentations by the Secretariat for the Convention on Biological Diversity, EcoHealth Alliance, UNEP/GEF and UNU-IIGH, followed by a broader discussion on potential actions for both policy and practice that can be taken forward.
