The UNU Institute for the Advanced Study of Sustainability (UNU-IAS) will hold a reporting session for the 2017 Global Leadership Training Programme in Africa (GLTP), in which participants will present the results of their field research.
Implemented by UNU-IAS in 2013, GLTP is a training scheme sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, and is designed to provide Japanese postgraduate students with opportunities to conduct field trips in Africa and work closely with supervisors from local universities.
In this fifth iteration of the programme, ten Japanese postgraduate students conducted field research under the supervision of host universities and institutes in eight African countries (Tanzania, Botswana, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia).
During this reporting session, participants will share their research outcomes and experiences with the public and the GLTP alumni network.
The event will be held in English only. No interpretation will be provided.
For more information, or to register, see the event announcement on the UNU-IAS website.
