The Saudi Computer Society and the UNU-IIST Center for Electronic Governance are jointly organizing the “5th Executive Training on Foundations of Government Information Leadership” in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 25 to 27 May 2013.
The training, sponsored by the National E-government Program and taught by Elsa Estevez and Tomasz Janowski of UNU-IIST, is addressed to policymakers, decision-makers, public managers and Government Chief Information Officers (GCIO) from the Saudi Government.
The training will focus on the enabling and facilitating role of ICT and E-governance in:
It will consist of seven thematic sessions covering a range of knowledge areas relevant to the audience, and organized into Introduction (day 1), Planning and Governance (day 2) and Design and Implementation (day 3).
This training is the fifth in a series of executive training session for government officiaals organized by UNU, following those in Macao (for officials from Iraq, Jemen, Jordan and Palestine), Muscat (for GCIOs from Oman), Braga (for officials from Dominican Republic, Georgia, Moldova, Portugal and the Republic of Korea), and Bandar Seri Begawan (for government from Brunei Darussalam).
