World Water Day is held annually on March 22 to emphasize the relevance of fresh water and to promote the sustainable management of freshwater resources. The focus of this year’s World Water Day Water Lecture is “Water Cooperation: Challenges and Opportunities”.
A panel of high-level experts from government and UN agencies will discuss various forms of water cooperation as well as potential challenges and opportunities of water cooperation at different levels and settings.The discussion will focus on the impacts of water cooperation on capacity development and knowledge exchange.
