The UNU International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH) and the Malaysian Association for the Study of Obesity (MASO) are co-organizing the MASO 2015 Scientific Conference on Obesity, in Kuala Lumpur from 28–29 October.
Recognizing the need to integrate and mobilize all relevant scientific disciplines to showcase the transdisciplinary nature of obesity research, this year’s conference theme is “Combating Obesity: Societal and Environmental Issues and Challenges”. The conference will includes lectures, symposiums, and poster sessions and will bring together expertise from the academic and research sectors, food and health-related industries, and policymakers to exchange insights on sociocultural aspects, biological determinants, environmental elements and intervention programmes.
The deadline for abstracts is 4 September. The conference registration deadline is 1 October. For more information, visit the MASO website.
