The International Conference on Urban Health (ICUH) 2015 will be held from 24–27 May in Dhaka, Bangladesh under the theme of Urban Health for a Sustainable Future: The Post-2015 Agenda. ICUH is organized on a biannual basis by the International Society for Urban Health as an international forum for information exchange among urban health professionals and other urban stakeholders. The 2015 conference will be the first ICUH held in Asia.
The UNU International Institute for Global Health is a co-organizer of ICUH 2015 and on 23 May 2015 will conduct a pre-conference training workshop in system thinking for urban health and well-being, in line with its research programme on Planetary Change and Health and in line with UNU’s co-sponsorship of the global International Council for Science – Interacademy Medical Panel – United Nations University Urban Health Programme.
The main objective of ICUH is to gather scientists, practitioners, policymakers and community organizations from across disciplines and geographic boundaries (including both high- and low-income settings) to exchange ideas and advance research and practices that promote urban health at the individual and population levels, including among disadvantaged groups. ICUH will foster international discussion of urban health issues, build networks among stakeholders in urban health, and promote enhanced understanding of the impacts of urban environments and human behaviour on health and well-being.

Researchers, practitioners, and policymakers are encouraged to submit their work and promote awareness of this important meeting among their global networks. The deadline for abstract, symposium and side-session submissions is 15 November 2014, 11:59 p.m., Bangladesh Standard Time.
