The 10th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV2017) will take place in New Delhi, India, from 7 to 9 March 2017.
The conference is organised under the patronage of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV; the founder and coordinator of the annual ICEGOV series).
Digital Government policymakers and researchers face the challenge of ensuring that the global digitalisation trend leads to transformation and empowerment, and finally to positive, sustained development outcomes. The challenge entails a wide range of issues; the main purpose of ICEGOV2017 is to explore how Digital Government can lead to Digital Empowerment, considering the development of locally appropriated Knowledge Societies as the means and the end to such empowerment.
