Tomasz Janowski

Tomasz Janowski is Senior Research Fellow at the UNU International Institute for Software Technology where he founded and heads the Center for Electronic Governance. Previously, he was Research Fellow at the University of Warwick, UK, where he earned a Ph.D. in computer science, and Assistant Professor at the University of Gdansk, Poland, where he earned an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics. Tomasz’s research focuses on introducing engineering principles and methods to electronic governance policy and practice. He founded and coordinates a series of International Conferences on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance, serves on the editorial boards of Government Information Quarterly and Journal of E-Governance, and led projects funded by Macao Foundation, World Bank, Microsoft, UNDP, European Commission and several national governments.
